ABOUT
AMANDA
I have lived on the North
Shore for the last ten years, worked and played here for even
longer. My husband and I have chosen North Vancouver to raise
our two young boys here because of the beautiful surroundings
and the opportunities for an active and healthy lifestyle.
I graduated from UBC with a degree in Human Kinetics in 2000. I
worked my way through school as a fitness advisor in a variety
of private and public recreation/fitness/health facilities as
well as athletic training with various athletic teams. After
obtaining my degree, I started my own business and continued my
work as an exercise physiologist.
I have volunteered over the years with various organizations and
events, including NV South Slope Community Association, VANOC,
Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority
at UBC, the Handsworth Royals football team, the North Shore
Indians Senior B Lacrosse team, UBC Athletics, the Human
Kinetics Undergraduate Society, the Alma Mater Society at UBC,
Fairview Resident’s Association, the Sun Run, 24 Hour Relay,
Coastal Jazz & Blues Society, BCRPA, International Strength &
Conditioning Conference.
